Weddings

An Atlanta wedding venue for the ceremony, the dinner and the dancing

Say your vows in front of antique stained glass, dine at long estate tables and dance under iron chandeliers — without moving your guests across town.

Weddings at Journeyman’s Hall

One building, one team, the whole day.

Most couples who choose Journeyman’s Hall hold their ceremony and reception here. The ceremony is set in front of one of our original artwork backdrops, and while guests enjoy cocktail hour, our staff turns the room for dinner.

The hall is 4,800 square feet of exposed red brick, hand-stenciled concrete floors and stained glass that throws colored light across the room in the afternoon. It comfortably hosts 10–170 guests, and the kitchen, bar and getting-ready suites are all under the same roof.

Because the people who plan with you are the same people who cook and serve on the day, nothing gets lost between vendors.

Why couples choose it

Character you don’t have to decorate.

  • Ceremony and reception in one place

No shuttle, no second venue fee, no guests getting lost between locations. The room flip happens while everyone is at cocktail hour.

  • Original artwork backdrops

Choose from our mobile artwork backdrops for the ceremony, or stand in front of the stained-glass wall.

  • Two getting-ready suites

Private rooms for each side of the wedding party, with mirrors, seating, a fridge for drinks and space to hang dresses and suits.

  • Food from our own kitchen

GHI Catering cooks on site and writes most menus from scratch with each couple — plated, buffet, family-style or stations.

  • Music and bar, handled

An in-house DJ with dance-floor lighting and wireless mics, and a licensed, staffed bar from beer and wine to a full bar.

  • Downtown on your doorstep

Walking distance to downtown hotels and the city’s landmarks, which makes for easy guest logistics and great portraits.

Questions

Wedding questions.

All FAQs
Can we have our ceremony and reception at Journeyman’s Hall?

Yes, and most couples do. The ceremony is set in the main hall, then our team flips the room for dinner and dancing while guests are at cocktail hour.

How many wedding guests does the venue hold?

About 10–170 guests depending on the layout. A seated dinner with a dance floor uses the room differently than a cocktail-style reception, so we’ll sketch the floor plan for your number.

Is there somewhere to get ready?

Yes. There are two private getting-ready suites, so each side of the wedding party has its own space with mirrors, seating and a fridge.

Can we hold our rehearsal at the hall?

Ceremony rehearsals can be scheduled at the hall ahead of the day. Many couples also host the rehearsal dinner here — ask us about pairing the two.

Do we have to use your caterer?

Most couples use GHI Catering, our in-house kitchen. Outside caterers can be arranged under our vendor policy; we’ll explain the requirements during your consultation.

How far ahead should we book?

Spring and fall Saturdays go first, so start the conversation as soon as you have a season in mind. If your date is flexible, tell us — it opens up more options.
