The essentials
How many guests can Journeyman’s Hall hold?
The hall hosts gatherings from about 10 to 170 guests across 4,800 square feet. Seated dinners at our estate tables, a ceremony followed by a reception, and standing cocktail parties all use the room differently, so we’ll walk you through layouts for your guest count on a tour or consultation.
What is included when we book the venue?
Every booking includes the main hall, two private getting-ready suites, our custom estate tables and padded chairs, setup and breakdown, and a room flip between ceremony and reception if you need one. From there you can add catering, bar service, DJ and sound, coordination, and décor support, so you pay for what your day actually needs.
Do you provide catering?
Yes. Food is prepared on site by GHI Catering, the catering company owned by our team, and almost every menu we serve is built custom around your guests, service style and budget — plated, buffet, family-style or cocktail-party stations. Outside caterers are possible under our vendor policy; ask us about the details.
Is there an in-house DJ?
Yes. Our in-house DJ service covers the ceremony and reception, with dance-floor lighting and wireless microphones. Audio-visual extras like our HD projector can be added.
Can we tour the venue before booking?
Please do. Tours are scheduled by appointment so someone from our team can walk you through the spaces and answer questions. Book a time online, or start with our 3D tour if you’re planning from out of town.
Where do guests park?
About 150 public and private parking spaces within a one-minute walk, including public lots and decks around South Downtown. We’ll send guest-ready parking directions with your planning materials.
Is the venue accessible?
The main hall is on one level and the stage has ramp access. Tell us about any guest needs in advance and we’ll plan seating, routes and restrooms around them.
What kinds of events do you host besides weddings?
Rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, birthday parties, milestone celebrations, bar and bat mitzvahs, company parties, meetings and team dinners. The same team, kitchen and flexibility apply to every event.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on your date, guest count and the services you choose, so we build a custom proposal for each event. Answer a few questions and we’ll set up a complimentary 30-minute consultation — or email you a quote within two business days, if you prefer.
Booking & dates
Which months are busiest?
March, April, May, September and October are our peak wedding months. Off-season dates often have more availability and flexibility.
How do we hold a date?
Start with a custom pricing request or a tour. Once you’ve reviewed your proposal, our team will explain how to reserve the date.
How long is an event booking?
A typical booking is a 10-hour block covering setup, the event and breakdown. It can be customized for your schedule.
Do you host weekday events?
Yes. Weekday dates are popular for corporate events, rehearsal dinners and smaller celebrations.
Food & drink
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes. Our kitchen writes custom menus and plans for allergies and dietary needs you share with us.
Do you offer bar service?

Will you cut and serve our cake?
Yes, cake cutting service is available on request.
Are plates, glassware and flatware included with catering?
Catering is served on our china, glassware and flatware, with linen napkins.

What does the in-house DJ provide?
